​​As someone who practices mindfulness daily, I found the book inspiring & helpful in many ways.Shivon has captured the true meaning of mindfulness...the stuff people don't tell you. I especially love her take on the no wrong or right way aspect of mindfulness from someone else who practices daily. It's been useful to see Shivons' journey and also her take and feelings about mindfulness.Online, you can find many videos, but Shivons' book takes it a step further than I thought possible. I usually meditate in the bath or living room. This is my safe space & my time to relax.I love how she teaches us that we can meditate anywhere, walking down the street and while moving around the house, stretch up to get something out of the cupboard.It's made me see mindfulness not just for the hour that I spend in the bath. But as a way of life. Throughout the day, I have started taking my time to notice the environment around me. To listen, to look around & check in with myself.​I'm looking forward to trying more of her exercises. As someone who struggles with stress & depression I hope these exercises will help me stop, think & take a breath.​I would highly recommend the book to anyone feeling stress, that needs a little self-care!
