Service Description
The Mindfulness Now 8-Week course is a structured, evidence-based course integrating both Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It’s designed to support people from all walks of life in managing stress, anxiety, and low mood — while deepening wellbeing, self-awareness and compassion. Whether you're new to mindfulness or seeking to deepen your existing practice, this course provides a safe and supportive space to explore how mindfulness can transform everyday life. What Will I Get Out of It? - Learn practical tools to manage stress, anxiety and overwhelm · Build emotional resilience and psychological flexibility · Experience more presence, calm and connection in your daily life · Gain insights into your patterns of thinking and behaviour · Improve sleep, focus, and overall wellbeing · Access guided meditations and supportive resources between sessions · Be part of a supportive learning group, led by Shivon, a qualified, MTA-registered teacher. What Does the course Involve? · 8 weekly sessions - typically 1 - 1.5h each · Home practice per day (approx. 20 minutes) · A mix of guided mindfulness practices, gentle movement, reflection and learning What’s Expected of Me? Just your willingness to take part and be curious. To get the most from the course I invite you to: · Attend all sessions where possible · Engage with home practice between sessions · Bring an open mind, and a kind attitude towards yourself as you learn Taught by: Shivon Waterhouse A qualified Mindfulness Now teacher accredited by the Mindfulness Teachers Association (MTA) – committed to high standards, ethics, and ongoing professional practice. This course is offered as follows: * In-Person, one-to-one at Rooms@1900, 45 Thornhill Street, Calverley, Leeds, LS28 5PR * One-to-one Online Via Zoom Each session typically lasts 1 -1.5h My working hours are: Mon-Fri between 6pm - 8pm Saturday between 9am - 5pm. Cancellation Policy
I understand that plans can change. To secure your place on the course, full payment is required at the time of booking. * Cancellations made 48 hours before the course start date are eligible for a full refund. * Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the course start date are non-refundable. I will always try to move your booking to a date suitable for us both if I can. Please note prior to undertaking any course you will be required to complete a a participant intake form which I will email to you. This must be completed in full and returned to me before (at least 48 hours before the start date). This is to ensure your safety and provide me with the opportunity to identify and discuss any issues that may prevent you from taking part. If for any reason I deem you unable to take part, a full refund will be given. If the form is not returned 48 hours before the start date, you will be unable to attend and a refund will not be issued.
